Bridge demolition in record time with the Egli XMB 5.4 concrete crusher

In this demolition project at the Sechshelden viaduct (D-35708 Haiger), Moss Abbruch GmbH was able to massively increase the demolition speed by using the Egli XMB 5.4 concrete crusher with the TriPod jaw.

Initially, the company was working with a traditional concrete crusher, but the progress made in deconstructing the three-lane motorway bridge was not up to expectations. This led to a delay on the construction site.

Only by switching to the Egli XMB 5.4 concrete crusher with the powerful TriPod jaw was it possible to significantly speed up the dismantling process. The attachment, mounted on a Volvo EC 380 E NL, crushed the large reinforced concrete bar with a thickness of up to 110 cm in just 20 minutes! This meant that the job could be done three times faster than with the previous concrete crusher. The tensioning cables were also efficiently exposed, which facilitated the subsequent separation of steel and concrete.

Thanks to this increase in efficiency, Moss Abbruch GmbH was able to make up the time delay and significantly optimize the dismantling of the bridge. Many thanks fort this excellent cooperation!
